After the tragic passing of David Bowie, we felt it necessary to revisit one of the most beloved and strange children's movies of the '80s. Get ready to do the Magic Dance when you watch this dark, delightful 1986 cult classic.

Unhappy about having to baby-sit her younger brother, teenaged Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) impetuously wishes that the goblins from her favorite book would take him away. Shocked when her wish is granted, she is visited by the Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie), who tells her she must pass through a labyrinth and reach his castle in order to have her brother returned.

Along the way, Sarah encounters a panoply of critters, dwarves, puzzles, enchanted peaches, a giant robot, a bog of eternal stench, and Jareth's very snugly fitted grey tights. Can she resist the charms of the Goblin King and save her brother?
