Bruce McCulloch, an Albertan punk and son of a salesman, grew up playing hockey, listening to rock music and fist-fighting cowboys. He took business at Mount Royal College and when he predictably got 20% he segued to journalism and started writing funny stories. He soon found himself at Loose Moose Theatre: home of theatre sports (competitive improv), where he met Mark McKinney, and his future was set.
